The curse of the vanishing timetables

This morning, I had to explain to 24 Year 11 students why they did not have any timetables. There was an error somewhere along the line, which meant we had to try and work out where they were all supposed to be this morning in the hope that their timetables would find them later. I also spent far too much time today directing clueless new Year 7s around, which I don't mind because they're so sweet! One or two other members of staff forgot that some teachers had moved rooms over the summer and directed them to the wrong place entirely *snigger*

I'm still feeling optimistic. The groups I had today were nice, and have potential, once I've taught them that they don't need to ask permission every time they want to turn a page. I'm sure I'll adjust to the hellish new timetable, which has three lessons before we get a break. And 2 people asked me if I'd lost weight, which is always nice.

In other news, spiders are taking over the world - there was one in the sink again last night, and one in the cupboard too. And there was a cobweb on my car this morning - must be a revenge attack from the one I put outside the other night.

Yay for schooling... but are you sure the staff weren't sending the littlun's to the wrong places on purpose?

As for spiders, they're definately getting worse. Had one in my hair earlier (don't ask). Yuck!

Yep, Year 7s are first years, Year 11 are fifth years, and so on. Spider update: Two sightings while I was eating my dinner earlier, a smallish one and another monster.

I don't know where the huuuge spider has gone - I didn't see it last night. It's preparing an attack...

What is it with spiders living in car mirrors? My passenger side mirror seems to be a des res for spiders.
