The return of the spider
I finally managed to take a snap of one of the spiders lurking in the corner where I throw the free newspapers and flyers in between recycling days. It's a bit blurry but you can see what a monster it is!

There's a huge spider in the kitchen at the moment. Not such long legs, but a much bigger and fatter body, probably from all the fruit flies it's been eating.
I feel rather bad about the way I put a lid on the compost box yesterday. We won't get so many fruit flies, so this magnificent spider will die or move out.
Ecosystems can be tricky things, even in the kitchen.
