Work Avoidance
This weekend has been pretty fab. On Friday night I listened to my new Sixties compilation tape that we found in a charity shop last weekend, and it made the drive over to Sam's just fly by. I got to go on the Thorney Bypass too, which was fast and exciting and not like driving through Thorney which used to be slow and boring. Then we ate pizza and drank much wine and watched some rubbish telly and some Phoenix Nights on DVD.
On Saturday we got up nice and early and drove to Bishop's Stortford to see some lovely friends. We parked the car outside their flat and then did much shopping. I got a nice shiny red top and a nice shiny red dressing gown. Then we walked back and watched the whale on the telly for a bit, then had dinner, then over pudding put the telly back on, and mourned the loss of the whale :-( then drank lots of wine to drown our sorrows, and played Taboo which I found I am brilliant at.
Today we lazily got up, had breakfast, then drove back from Bishop's Stortford, via Saffron Walden which looks as though it would be very nice when it is open. This afternoon we watched Columbo, and generally had the sort of lazy day you have when you've had far too much wine the night before. And then I drove back to Peterborough and spent the evening avoiding work. But I've run out of things to say* so I'd better start my work now.
*OK, so I ran out of things to say waaaaaaay back up at the top of the page, but it's given me a good five minutes of not doing boring worky stuff, so I'm not complaining. Are you?

Sounds like you had a far more exciting weekend than I did. All I did was attempt to treat this tiresome cold and sulk because Scunthorpe lost and the red team from manchester won.
Oh, and I got a blogger account.
