Long day
Today was one of those days that just never seemed to end. Hang on... that's because it was open evening at school, and I had to stand with a fixed grin on my face while parents came and looked at what a maths classroom is like. Yet another opportunity to revel in the luxury of being able to drive though; I was home much earlier than if I'd had to struggle on public transport, and we even fitted in a trip to KFC between setting up the classroom after school and parents arriving at 7. Kudos to my colleague who risked life and limb by accepting a lift from me, and apologies for veering wildly across the road at one point - there was a funny noise as if my door or window wasn't shut properly and it unnerved me a bit.
Spider update: one was hiding in the sink and I didn't notice it until it was too late and I'd already poured the dishwater away. It drowned, and now I feel guilty - I hope it wasn't the one from the photograph.
