Brief pause in the middle of hectic running round
Phew! The upstairs of my house looks fantastic, though I do say so myself. I was going to do a little bit of a clean in preparation for my mother arriving this afternoon, but it turned into a full-blown spring clean complete with throwing out lots of manky old toiletries and make-up. If this mood continues, I'll end up sorting out all my clothes too.
Unfortunately, downstairs is still a mess. And I'm exhausted already. And I'd be happy if I never saw another duster or vacuum cleaner ever again. But Mother arrives in just over two hours, so I suppose I should at least wash up and wipe round a bit, even if sitting by the computer sounds much more exciting and less tiring.

Nooo, you can't throw out the manky stuff. I'll discover what colour the carpet is! (It's always been kept secret until now.)
