Experimental cookery
I decided to have stir-fry for dinner tonight (mainly because I bought some ready-prepared stir-fry vegetables yesterday and their use-by date was today). I cleaned the kitchen and went to the cupboard to get rice. No rice. I had a look to see if there were any noodles. No noodles. Somehow I'd managed to completely forget that I'd run out of all the traditional carbohydrate accompaniments to Chinese food.
So I cooked some tagliatelle and served my stir-fry on that. After all, noodles are long thin carbohydrates, and so is tagliatelle. My only dilemma was whether to eat it from a normal plate or a pasta plate.
