Films, food, parties, and other fun things.

After a bit of a wibble on Thursday night, I got through work on Friday and drove up to Cambridge to see Sam. We went to see the New Rope String Band and I enjoyed it rather a lot; they were very amusing and it was all lighthearted fun to lift my mood.
On Saturday we went to see Casino Royale in Huntingdon. I thoroughly enjoyed it from the opening titles to the last note of the closing credits, and even though it was quite a long film I didn't feel the urge to eat popcorn or minstrels, or get up to go to the loo like the people sitting behind me kept doing.
On Sunday we were visitated by one of Sam's superstar DJ friends, and we went out for all the Chinese food we could eat. Then I came home, but the M11 was horrible so I came the back way. I got lost in Saffron Walden which was fun, but after taking a few random turns I found a sign pointing to Thaxted so I followed it until I knew where I was again. Maybe I should get satnav.
This week I will mostly be cleaning the house. Usually when I'm expecting visitors, I set out a plan where I clean one room a day for several days, get behind on the plan from day one, and end up doing all the cleaning on the morning my visitors are due to arrive. If you're coming to my housewarming, I apologise in advance for the mess.
