Up and down like a lavvy seat
I decided this evening that life is pants. It all got a bit much for me; an attack of Imposter Syndrome convincing me that I'm the worst teacher in the world (despite a lot of favourable feedback after Parents' afternoon/evening yesterday), my car refusing to allow me to use first or second gear for long enough to scare me, the surgery phoning to cancel my appointment for a routine check-up... it seemed like the world was conspiring against me, so I did what anyone would do, and had a bloody good cry.
I'm feeling better now. Deep down, I know I'm not the best teacher in the world but I'm far from being the worst. My car can be fixed; the worst that can happen is that I have to rely on lifts for a while. The appointment has been rescheduled for half term, which is more convenient anyway. And I have the best bunch of online friends a girl can have, and the best brother in the world, who know all the right things to say to cheer me up :-)
Looking forward to the meet on Saturday; a little worried about the car not being up to it, so there's a slim chance we might not make it, but I shall do my best, so to all the people going, I'll see you there, and to the people who aren't, you're missing a treat - I'm going to be there, and I'm fabulous!
