Unexpected sight
Last Friday, when I was leaving to go to Sam's and was already late, I drove round the corner past all the parked cars and saw this on one of the vans.
After doing a double-take, I pulled in and jumped out of the car, and took a picture on my phone. It's come out rather well, I think. If I'd had the time, I'd have hung around for a bit to see if it spread its magnificent tail right out, but then I suspect Sam would have eaten my dinner and made me sleep outside.

Oooo pretty. My nanna has one of those around hers and it makes a hell of a racket during breeding season. Ever seen one try to "fly" from one house roof to another? It's more like falling with style....
