Delicious foody goodness
As it is a while since we last visited Stamford, we drove over for a look round and lunch at our favourite restaurant, Fratelli. After a gorgeous meal of Italian meats and cheeses followed by pasta, we popped along the road to the nicest chocolate shop in the world where they serve fantastic hot chocolate. We drove home via the A1(M) which gave me an opportunity to drive on a motorway for the first time, which was a bit of an anticlimax as it's not that different from dual carriageway driving. We stopped off at the Big Tesco to get food for dinner, and visited the clothes shops nearby where I got some new tops for work, which means I can finally weed out the tatty old ones, although I hate parting with clothes even when they're no longer fit to wear.
This evening, as it was starting to get dark we headed out towards the countryside and found some ripe blackberries, and with the help of a torch to determine which ones were ripe we filled a small container. Now I have to decide whether to make pie, crumble, or both! Then we returned home and baked cheese scones for supper - the perfect end to a yummy day.

My first motorway drive was all the way up the M6 to Cumbria, and a lorry I was bravely overtaking (in my tiny Fiat) blew a tyre right beside me. Scary!
