Getting older
As of next week, I will be closer to 30 than 20. I shall be celebrating the day itself in the company of my delightful boyfriend, but I wanted a party-type thing to mark the occasion, and as my bestest friend is imminently running away to America for a few weeks we had a dinner party on Saturday night. It also gave me a good excuse to show off my new haircut and my fab new dress*, and to celebrate my job-getting success.
Aforementioned bestest friend made the bestest cake in the world. Here is a picture of it. If you look carefully, you can see me cutting it, and parts of our guests. If I'd taken the picture myself, I wouldn't have chopped their head/body off, but then I wouldn't have been in the picture. You can't have everything.

*My fab new dress looks great but isn't very roomy. I changed out of it in order to be able to eat lots of food without bursting seams, which is why this picture doesn't have fab dressness in it.

That looks like a yummy cake.
And you are very pretty fluffy.
Happy Birthday.

You reckon that's old, do you? Um, any cake left?
Nope, I just had the last slice!
Wrong. I took some home with me, remember? There are exactly two slices left, or one big slice if I'm feeling greedy.
