And pause...
Time for some blog therapy. I'd like to think that one or two people gain pleasure from reading my sporadic ramblings, but to be honest it doesn't matter. I enjoy having somewhere to dump the odd photo and thought, and maybe one day I'll make the effort to blog more often, but right now I think it would be silly to make a resolution which would almost certainly be broken almost immediately.
So, half term. I went home for a bit, which was a bit weird. Everyone was busy, with work and school and so forth, as Lincolnshire half term does not coincide with mine. I was more tired than I thought, and cried off going along to my dad's quiz, because I couldn't imagine being awake enough to enjoy it. My mum and I did go out for a nice drive together to Southwell, where we had a lovely lunch. It's good to get her to myself now and again; I've never sat down and analysed how I feel about sharing my mum with 3 (dare I say needy?) siblings but deep down I think the selfish part of me wishes I had her to myself more often.
Valentine's Day was lovely. I don't often blog about relationship stuff, because I'm aware that there are people who read my blog who don't necessarily want to read lovey-doveyness, but I figure that I'm allowed once a year to say how wonderful it is to have someone to spend an evening with making risotto together and watching crappy telly. Relationships aren't always easy, but I really think this one's worth sticking with and working at. He has to put up with a lot from me sometimes when I'm stressed; I'm aware I am rather High Maintenance at times, and he does a smashing job at looking after me. Thanks, Sam.
The weekend was good; we ate incredibly well. Lunch out on Friday (eat out for a fiver) - smoked mackerel followed by sausage and mash. Homemade Carrot Soup for tea. Lunch out again on Saturday - steak and kidney pie, and chocolate cake for pudding. Lots of walking and two geocaches to burn off the calories. Now the weather is starting to improve, we need to do more caching. Sunday lunch consisted of roasted Mediterranean vegetables, with lots of garlic. Mmmmmm!
Having done very little schoolwork over half term, I've been snowed under this week. Dare I use this as an excuse for not blogging? Today I think I overdid it; I left early so I was in work by 0740, and I didn't leave until after 1640, having paused for 15 minutes to eat an apple during the day. Tomorrow will be a long day too - we have Year 9 Parents' Consultations. This is the class which regularly sends me home with a headache, so I shall have some choice words to say to one or two parents. I predict a mammoth headache tomorrow evening, so I think I'll try for an early night tonight.

I don't think it matters how infrequently you blog (hark at me) but just don't stop!
Glad you enjoyed your half term. It's eerily quiet on the way to work fown here.
