Things I have learnt this weekend

As I blog so infrequently, I always go back to read my last blog entry before writing a new one.
The flat has changed a little since those photos - I have a proper wardrobe now (well, a funky canvas one anyway, much lighter and easier than the alternatives) and the tasteful sofa and armchair are covered with throws and cushions. It feels more like home now.
So this weekend I have learnt that if I leave school before 4pm on a Friday night I can be in central London by 5pm. I met up with Sam and his dad and we had all the chinese food we could eat, and then some drinks.
I have learnt that Focus have a 10% off card for people who have just moved house. I have learnt that the breakfast special at the nice cafe in Bishops Stortford is a little too big for me to finish. And I have learnt that my brother is coping amazingly so far with the challenges of being a student, and he's barely been online to tell me all about it because he's too busy having a good time. I'm extremely proud of him, a little envious and nostalgic for my own university days, and looking forward to getting up to York to cramp his style visit him.

My son and daughter look after each other in lots of secret ways. It is lovely to see.
