Melon cauli
Grrrr! I just wrote about how miserable this time of year makes me, and the evil blog pixies stole my writing. The rough idea was: dark nights, cold, bad weather, the come-down after a great holiday. Then I went on to say that I'm trying to cheer myself up with mood lighting, scented candles, and music.
A funny thing happened today. There is apparently a joke which goes "How do you make a blonde laugh on Friday? Tell her a joke on Monday." Unfortunately, the person telling it totally messed it up, by starting it with "How do you make a blonde laugh?" So it didn't make sense, and I laughed at him.

That would have been funnier if you were blonde, by analogy with the "How do you confuse a lesbian" joke.
