Back to reality
Well I made it back after my weekend at Home, despite lots of crazed loons overtaking me. Actually the journey was quite interesting, as I saw a couple of hot air balloons in the distance, although it wasn't bright enough to be worth stopping to take a picture.
Last night I repaid my father for years of driving me around by taking him into town for a curry, and as I was driving, he could have a drink, which he enjoyed muchly. He also got to see how bad I am at parking when I have an audience; it took me three attempts to get into a parking bay in town, and when I parked on the driveway at home, I might have just scraped the gatepost slightly with my wing mirror. Somehow, I feel he enjoyed the occasion so much he will insist that I haven't fully repaid the debt for the years of taxi service, and he'll ask me to do it again next time I'm home.
This morning I washed the car, and discovered that rather than being a dirty brown colour it's actually blue! Then I headed to my mother's house for Sunday lunch - roast pork, followed by plum crumble - delicious. I spent the afternoon helping my brother with his maths homework, and then headed back to get on with my own homework, which I guess I should do now.
