Repetition

On my way home this evening, I passed a concealed entrance sign. By this, I mean a sign that said "Concealed Entrance". I pass it every day, but as with most things you see often, I'd stopped noticing it. The reason I noticed it today was because it is embedded in a hedge and the hedge has grown, so the sign is partially concealed. "Hmmm" said my brain. "If I hadn't known that was there, I wouldn't have been warned about the concealed entrance."

By the time I got to the next junction, my brain had set up a long chain whereby a sign was put up warning that the "Concealed Entrance" sign was concealed, saying "Concealed 'Concealed Entrance' Sign". And then I started whatiffing about that sign becoming similarly covered.

I forced my brain to stop at "Concealed concealed concealed entrance sign sign" when I was trying to invent a suitable notation to abbreviate it.
