No apologies necessary
Hurrah! I didn't blog for ages and it wasn't my fault! I don't need to feel guilty!
I've been without broadband for most of this week. We've narrowed it down to most likely being the fault of dodgy wiring of the telephone extensions in the flat, so at the moment I have the broadband modem and phone plugged straight into the master socket until we think of a more permanent and less ungainly solution which is less likely to be knocked every time I come through the front door with shopping. It's one of those things which as a tenant is definitely the homeowner's problem rather than mine, but the idea of dealing with the letting agency to get it sorted out is somewhat beyond me at the moment. Being without internet access sucked though - I've come to rely on being able to just look things up, fire off a few quick emails, chat to all my friends on msn and in the chatroom and so on. Instead I had to resort to watching telly, reading books, and phoning people.
I haven't really had a great week at work. Parts of it were very exciting - I accompanied a party of students to London on Wednesday for a course on getting the top grades at GCSE. Although bits of it were very good, a lot of the delivery was poor, and the presentation and accompanying booklet were riddled with errors. One of the things which is making me consider a career change is feeling that I don't do a very good job at times; it seems that not everyone is so bothered about doing things properly. Thursday was difficult, as we had an open evening which meant I didn't leave school until 9pm. That meant I was very tired all day yesterday and got frustrated by every tiny thing. I'm determined to forget about work and enjoy my weekend, however.
Having gone to bed stupidly early last night, I'm now wide awake looking out on grey skies. However, the forecast is for sunshine and above average temperatures, so we might go out for a drive. If I'm feeling ambitious I might suggest we go to the seaside. I could do to have some cobwebs blown away!

Have a good weekend! SO glad you've got your internet back, even if its a bit awkward, I've missed you in the chat.xxx
Telling the landlord the phoneline is iffy, rather than Broadband is iffy may get a more sympathetic response.
Stick at it, Teech. The kids need you to teach them the Right Stuff
